Christina Powers, Masters Intern
*Berlin Office and telehealth
I am Christina Powers, and I am currently working as a master's level intern under the supervision of Debbie Remines, LCSW-C. I will attain my MSW in April 2025 and am currently studying for my LMSW exam. My spouse and I have been happily married for almost twenty years, and we have six adult neurodiverse children with ASD.
I have extensive personal experience working with individuals and children who have developmental challenges as well as their families. I have acted as a parent advocate, collaborated with professionals from the school system to create customized education plans, provided educational materials, and referrals to neuro-psychiatric teams in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., areas. As I begin my career, I want to draw on both my professional and personal experiences to help my clients and their families.
I firmly believe that God wants everyone to experience healing, and freedom. My greatest wish is to help contribute to that restoration. "We weren't made to keep up, our purpose was to be free" wrote Rebekah Lyons, one of my favorite writers and presenters. I entered this field to help my clients discover the freedom to be who God has already created them to be.
