Michelle McIntire, LMSW
*Millsboro Office and telehealth
My name is Michelle McIntire, and I am a newly Licensed Master Social Worker. I received my master’s degree from Widener University in 2022 and became licensed about a year later. Prior to that, I received a bachelor’s degree from Wilmington University in Behavioral Science. I am currently working towards my LCSW with Lighthouse Counseling. I have over 10 years of experience working with children and their families, to include children and their families in foster care and helping them to reunify with each other. I have worked closely with families who have experienced trauma, homelessness, and parent-child conflicts. I prefer a strengths-based, task focused approach to helping others improve their quality of life and face the struggles they are having. I believe that examining one’s history and “personal narrative” is an important step to identifying, acknowledging, and addressing their current situation. My ultimate goal is to form a trusting, honest relationship with my clients in order to create a safe environment in which they are comfortable to share their story. I am a proud parent of 2 boys and one granddaughter! I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, Ruby. We enjoy driving on the beach, sitting by the pool, and cooking out. I have lived in Delaware with (or near) my family for almost 30 years.
