Winter Powers III, LMSW

*Salisbury, Berlin and telehealth

Hello. My name is Winter Powers III. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Maryland. Since 2020, I have enjoyed working at Lighthouse Counseling. I couldn't ask for a more considerate and competent team to collaborate with. I am presently studying to take the state exam to become an LCSW-C.

I was raised on a family owned dairy farm, and achieved my BSW and MSW at Indiana Wesleyan University. I have been happily married for nearly two decades. I am the parent of six neurodiverse adult children with ASD.

I enjoy working with families, couples, kids, and individuals. Helping couples work through the problems that are keeping them from rediscovering the love, compassion, understanding, and trust they once shared is my passion.

I also find it greatly rewarding to work with our LGBTQIA+ community members. LGBTQIA+ people encounter additional respective difficulties that affect their emotional and mental health. For this reason, it's important that LGBTQIA+ people have access to mental health services that understand and address these concerns.

Active mindful listening and comprehension of my clients' experiences are key components of the services I provide. It is important to me that I provide a safe space for my clients to relax and contribute. My personal goal is to support my clients and accompany them as they come to comprehend their experience in the context of God's love.
